Arrow: velocity; forward motion; one direction (from inception towards death); dying; base.

Snake: resistance; choice within momentum (growth and loss curvature); free choice of movement within bounds; living; ingredient.

Arrow through Snake: living while struggling within dying; need to eat; perpetuation of self (blood).
