I am more inclined to side with Ignatius Donnelly who in his book Atlantis - The Antediluvian World he says that the symbol is said to have originated from Tyre, which has existed for around 4000 years. So that would likely make them the earliest known source of the symbol.

Definitely represents a snake, but much older than you realize.
Snake cults are one of the most oldest, and wildly practiced religions. Perhaps theres more than just superstition behind all of it...
Yes. The ancients have, at some point, worshiped everything and snake cults were one of the old ones. Rock cults, tree cults, water cults, sun cults, animal cults, planet cults and even human cults all existed. They kept guessing whatever they worshipped was God and then changed when they realized they were wrong.
CULTIV (cultivated) -ATION (though action) hence everything within representing the cultivating reactions aka the temporary seeds (living) cultivating within the ongoing soil (dying).
The WORTH (perceivable value) for each SHIP (perceiving evaluation) represents comprehension of being a vessel (formed reaction) within flow (forming action). What's the worth of a ship without water or the worth of currency without current (liquidity)?
