There is no constitutional basis for that. Roe was judicial overreach on a faulty basis, gay marriage (from perspective of government not religion) is a clear-cut question of equal rights.
SCOTUS has reversed precedents in the past.
Not uncommon.
Thomas did allude to looking at same sex marriage later on.
