Did actual Nazis even do similar things? The closest analogy of which I'm aware is from the Nuremberg Laws of 1935:

Article 4

Jews are forbidden to fly the Reich or national flag or display Reich colours.

They are, on the other hand, permitted to display the Jewish colours. The exercise of this right is protected by the state.

In that case, though, they protected the rights of those with whom they supposedly "genocidally" disagreed. Strange world, eh?
