Fair enough. But if you want to use the old words, as it were, I'd use "sodomite." Usually I use the pejorative "faggot" myself though.

Faggot is my casual, flippant, over the grill, or parking lot pejorative. Sodomite is for professional settings or classy dinners with guests.
