Let's make things a little clearer. The thing in the photo is the Rife microscope, not the Rife therapy device.

Anyway, it is thought that Rockefeller had Rife killed because he was a potential threat to Rockefeller's cash cow AMA.

The Rife machine worked, too - I've seen a video of a reconstructed Rife machine exploding a microorganism on a microscope slide.
