Wish I could find a great legal analysis of this that I read, I'll summarize it:
Someone (assuming a lawyer) posted the quantity of fake bots were irrelevant and Musk must still buy twitter. Twitter SEC filings state that the estimated percent of fake bots is estimated at 5%; however, the actual percentage fake bots is unknown and may be much higher.
This language relating to the uncertainty of fake bots was available to Musk at time of purchase hence he has no legal recourse to back out of deal. The poster went on to state that if the fake bots is significantly higher than 5% then there may be an argument; however, it would be very difficult to get out of the deal based upon the language inserted in SEC filings.

I don't think the employees were crying over nothing. I may not know what's wrong, but I know something is definitely wrong.
