Of course two hot air balloons can see each other with a telescope. But, eventually, they can't because the distance is too far and this too many particles are in the way, so you can't see it.
But surely you could bring a light so powerful, or a laser that could penetrate far enough to debunk the curvature of the earth. Or how about a radio signal known to travel a far distance through the air?
In my view, the burden of proof is on you, as the round earth has been sufficiently demonstrated to be true.
