Yawn. It's virtually back to the Soviet Union. The key difference is the World has changed. It is far more connected. That Iron Curtain isn't up by the same comparisons, or territory. But Russia is disconnecting from the West. Increasingly due to sanctions. From this it is relying even more on its own productivity and partnerships. Call it Soviet if you want.
Who really cares how they run their country or partner with any others aligned. You do you, because you want to sell them bullshit? Stupid media mostly. If they don't buy the bullshit media calling them intolerant than their definitely commies. They're not allowed to compete. Perhaps you want everybody else to join Nato, to sell more arms, and even more expensive renewables, upgrade now or else. Else Russia are Soviet. In any event who cares what they do? Ukraine might. Tedious.
They made a deal with Roosevelt, and Churchill. You must have realised it wasn't accidental. You see they helped beat Germany, got there first, and it got carved up.
Prior to both WW1 other treaties were formed dividing the former Ottoman Empire and parts of Asia, then in WW2 dividing Europe. Alongside Russia, they were a nation signing these pacts and treaties. The World was vastly different. There wasn't a bunch of bullshit countries. They were much larger regions, kingdoms, empires, and such. In both Europe and in Asia. Countries formed increasingly after the World Wars. Also in Europe today after the Soviet Union disbanded.
But in any event what Russia did is largely an excuse, what actually happened and why. It's something for you to find out by studying more than propaganda. Who really cares. That was then. Let me know if it happens again now. Last time I checked it hasn't. Ukraine got turned into a piggy in the middle of larger geopolitics. I am not Ukrainian or Russian. Let me know if we actually go to war. Otherwise poor piggy, have a kleenex. Or whatever.

No I don't care about bullshit. Russia being Soviet doesn't make any difference. I am not Russian.
