I reported a pedo child-selling sub to Reddit and they did nothing to stop it. It continued for years; I checked it periodically. I came to realize it was probably supported by Reddit.
None of the reports I made were considered against terms of service. They just don't care.
That was probably a sting operation. Anything real would get shut down immediately.
There is that possibility; however Reddit also allowed a sub that simply posted grooming video animations. It stayed up for a long time. I have not checked back on it, as it was f'ing disgusting, but the point is Reddit allowed it and it didn't have discussions, so that one was not a honey trap but they let it be.
I think they put the users who frequent things like that on lists for further investigation.
