Meh, one of the biggest traits of Appalachians is the love of freedom, freedom to be, freedom to not be judged or unfairly treated.
This is not a white mans creation, in fact if you ask me the free'st (am i using that right?) people there are would be american indians I believe. They seem way more spiritually advanced than the rest of us. But because their society did not revolve around personal property and technological advancement above all else, they had no place in the western world. Its a damn tragedy what those assholes in the government did to them.
My ancestors were amongst the first english settlers and had to survive with indians and people of all different creeds. The only common theme amongst all of them?
Their love for nature and for freedom.
We should be working together, not against each other.
