Because i was not arguing as much as trying to learn. From a global point of view, in the current state of affairs, i'll concede to your point this is a net negative. I honestly forgot about twitters anti-tyranny uses in other countries.

If Twitter eliminates anonymity many people will stop using it.

From a US pov, i see this as a net positive for twitter to fail. I dont think the company can turn around from its censoring ways.
