It looks like infants deaths per thousand hover around 6.0 for a decade at least then drop to 5.8 in 2020 and 2021.
Thanks for the data, but is that a legit site? What kind of government reporting tool uses .com and not .gov?
According to that data, the infant death rate never dropped below 6.0 all through the teens, fluctuating between 6.0 and 6.3. 2020 it dropped .2 points to 5.8, and 2021 it rose 1 to 5.9. Given the past 10 years, that's a significant blip.
That doesn't explain the basically straight line in the 10s followed by a dip in 2020.
