Don't be sorry, I reply him only to give others a different point of view, not to satisfy him. :) He is already fall into endless loop, so out of business.
May I ask, how do Russians view the current war?
Most don't understand why it was done in that strange way, not just recognition of DPR/LPR with following military support in current DPR/LPR limits. There is no any desire to acquire any additional Ukrainian territory, or to merge Ukraine into Russia in that group.
Of course there is noticeable part thet supports anything government do, and also noticeable part that think this is an absolute crime.
Also, Ukrainians for that matter.
Ukrainians mostly angry.
I feel the 2014 coup was indeed an escalation of force on the West's part.
Kind of. West was definitely in that coup, but I think that was planned and people on the streets really decided nothing.
As usual elite do what they need and people suffer.
As usual elite do what they need and people suffer.
Thats the perfect way to explain it.
I dont think Russia wants Ukraine as an actual territory. I believe Putin when he says hes removing NATO/West.
Im certain we are in Ukraine covertly, paying off politicans, investing in biolabs, etc.
However, Russia does the exact same thing to Ukraine. Putin probably wants Ukraine "independently" pro Russian. (Russian installed leardership.)
Ukrainians wanting protection from Russia is understandable.
However, NATO and the west can be just as nefarious.
What Russia does overtly, the West does covertly.
Its like, an impossible situation. I wish Ukraine could have its sovereignty and everyone agree to maintain it. That would the peace treaty right there. Ukraine is a very strategic position for both sides so that would be fair.
I believe that was actually the deal previously with the Belovezh Accords and both sides were breaking it secretly.
Elitist don't care. It is all so stupid. The answer is simple but everyone at the top is greedy.
Sorry to ramble about how I feel about it. Im glad to hear how you guys in the east feel. Im sorry this is going on on your lands and hurting your peoples. I apologize for our involvement in causing any of this.
No need to sorry or apologize, especially for the things you don't control, we are here to exchange information, opinions and feelings.
Your opinion is absolutely sane and weighted. Just few remarks:
There is 50/50 Ukrainian/Russian speaking people in Ukraine. From the beginning of independence Ukrainian government thoroughly drive a wedge between two parts of population.
Both parts really prefer independence, but Ukrainian speaking part is for closer ties to the West, and Russian-speaking part is for closer ties to the Russia. Instead of wise using this bilinguality to build a strong balance and complete independency with good realtions and profits from both, West and Russia, Ukrainian government just ruined everything rising tensions between that parts. If Ukrainian government from the beginning approved Russian language as state one along with Ukrainian (it is a normal and common practice in the world, even for countries with 10/90 lingual ratio), there would have been no any Crimea separation, DPR/LPR and all that stuff. So, all that was done for purpose. It is hard to say will that separation progress to complete divorce of two parts of Ukraine or will be somehow fixed, but to understand the situation you have to have it in mind.
Also, there is another interesting nuance- two decades ago Russia wanted to join NATO, even special group named "Partnership for peace" was created to prepare that process. But that process was suddenly cut from both sides at the same moment. So, Russian government do not really see NATO as eternal enemy at all, just use it as a
convenient reason to justify any shit.
Man, that is all interesting. It almost seems like you said. This was planned to happen. All of it. Even now.
Like a stage was set.
I didn't know that about Russia and NATO. That is very interesting.
Id like to also mention other oddities. Like, why would Russia would donate to the Clinton foundation during her election? (Like, an unusally large amount, after the Ukraine and G7 fiasco too)
Why work with US, as we speak, to close and Iran deal. (Such a bad deal too)
Why would Biden, Germany and others buy oil from Russia? Especially US, weve gone out of our way to do so.
Also Uranium 1 and other Obama era scandles with Iran and Russia. Like the, "ill have more flexibility after my election" remarks between Obama and Putin.
It almost feels like it is all coordinated. Like both sides are in on the game. They want a war to divide and rule I guess.
Thank you for sharing info on the state of things in Russia. Sorry for the Troll.
