Even writing this I feel kinda disgusted that I am interacting with (probably) a completely, knowingly corrupt, maybe-paid pysop crier, or (less likely) with a complete dupe.

Right. The gravitational field (actually today it is the "warping of spacetime", not a field at all) is what is believed to cause the phenomenon of gravity, which is a scientific law millennia old. Gravitation is the scientific theory, and gravity is the scientific law. Understanding the difference and why it is critical that they do not have the same name is fundamental and vital to science (as well as any discussion thereof)

Yes, to many who first hear my nomenclature, the response is very similar to yours! I can only say that there is "method to my madness", and that I deeply love and care about science. It is through its rigorous study that I have come to understand why it is so important to keep laws and theories separate, and to acutely recognize what they are and what they are for.
