Russia is not seeking to overthrow the Kyiv regime in the course of its special operation in Ukraine, he said.

So we went from "Ukrainian government needs to be overthrown because they are Nazis"

to

"Russia invaded because Ukraine has US bioweapon labs"

to

"lol, jk, we didn't want to overthrow you guys in the first place"

So much winning!

Note: Interfax is a Russian news agency so ib4 anyone claims this is Western propaganda.

I don't remember Russia ever saying they wanted to change the regime.
