It is largely a speculation / statistical argument, but there are repeatable observations which support it.
And if you stop to consider what matter really is, energy, perhaps it is true.
Matter is not energy. They are separate and distinct. I recognize this is a heretical view, however. I have concluded, through scientific and historical study, that relativity is fiction and for children.
As for the consciousness of all matter - who is to say? We can barely define the word let alone design a test/device to detect it.
All living things are reservoirs for this energy. Including plants.
Matter requires energy to move. Otherwise matter is at rest. This is correct.
This is the same mistake people make when they think that quantum computers could never reach an awareness on par with a human, let alone surpass an entire planet of us.
There is no "singularity", that is all fiction (and its obvious origin). AI is fiction. The computer is a glorified abacus, and it can only do what we program it to. AI is merely a list of commands that require constant maintenance and are created and refined purely through human intervention (typically by trial and error).
The quantum computer works by a different process, but isn't magical either. It depends on and exploits matter's tendency towards rest. It has great use for optimization problems, and is certainly a useful tool - but it will never be the "ghost in the shell" (FICTION!) either and for the same reasons.
But this reality doesn't seem to really care
Only living creatures can care, and it is vital that we do! It is a choice, but the natural and correct one is self evident!
I understand what your trying to say. Perhaps I am wrong, I am no scientist. I just chime in with what I feel this reality is like.
Just some thoughts though. Are you saying the world is flat when you say you believe that relativity is fiction and for children. You need to be more specific when you say relativity, I am assume like Einstein's theory of relativity? I respect that but I do believe that we are floating on a rock, that is hurtling through space.
Most atoms are like 99+% space. The only thing that keeps these things bonded together is the forces at the subatomic level. If it were not for the forces, we could walk through walls, no problem. If you don't believe in Einstein's theory of relatively, again I respect that but there isn't anything left to discuss there.
Also, I am not a programming guru, but I do enjoy hobbying with C# and unity and one of the subjects I keep putting off studying is neural networks because I feel like its a huge amount of time to learn and honestly maybe I am to stupid to learn. But as a hobbyist, some of the things I have seen over the last 10 years leaves me no doubt that we will see the singularity. But it really depends on quantum computers. I could be wrong of course, this is just my opinion.
Even if they networked every piece of hardware of this planet together, they would not be anywhere close to reach that amount of complexity needed for something like that. But, quantum computers, could do it. After all what is the brain... but a fancy quantum computer...Although yes that is a controversial topic on itself. One of the more interesting thing about quantum computers, is there is a theory that they actually are so powerful because the exist across multiple parallel dimensions and are able to utilize that computational power.
I dont really know though. But I do believe that I have a soul, and when I die, that ill be going somewhere. I wont be able to take thoughts, or memories. Those are just reinforced neural pathways. I believe you can take feelings though, and I really do not want to leave this life with hate or regret in my heart.
Back to some "Everything is one" source, a existence where time and space do not exist and we just be. No wants, no desires, no thoughts, just existence. I imagine it becomes boring pretty quick. Again I dont really know.
This is a great conversation! As it is certainly off-topic to the OP at this point, would you consider continuing it over on the community I created specifically for the discussion of such topics?
I'll create a post there to discuss it further, or you are free to, if you are game!
Sure, I dont post much. Whats the sub? I normally just post when something catches my eye and these are the type of conversations I like to be a part of. Things were pretty bad the last 4 some years or reddit. Most conversations just ended up with people calling other people dumb without entertaining a single thought.

I am the same, and just post when the spirit moves me. I'm glad to see you are interested in discussion too - we seem to be very rare online (but I doubt that is the reality).

I have become convinced that the bot/shill ratio is absurdly high, and the small percentage (maybe 5 to 10% at max) of real humans there have been conditioned to act that way as a defense mechanism - to keep their beliefs from scrutiny/criticism and to prevent discussing/learning anything new. It's all very sad.
I keep explaining that ad hominem is merely the last resort of the intellectually feeble and almost guaranteed to stop them learning anything new or doing any better - but bots and conditioned people are both slaves to their programming :( I keep trying anyhow! Repetition got them into their mess, and it must be used to get them out.

Excellent! https://communities.win/c/flatearthresearch. I'll make the post right now, unless you would like to do it! (Let me know!)
