I hope this becomes a series of posts, each one building on community input from the comment threads of previous posts in the series.

The first step to ending the hate speech and calls to violence that have sprung up here is to determine their source. I suspect that a portion of it may be coming from volunteers who want to help eliminate places that could become breeding grounds for that kind of content. Another source could be volunteers committed to a particular political cause that sees places like this as their enemy.

To discover if this is indeed the case, and even to keep an eye open if this becomes the case, it behoves us to participate in these movements on a low level. In essence, I am proposing to create accounts that can then receive marching orders from these groups.
