I don't think that idea can work. The optimal pricing strategy is one that maximizes profit. A politically-motivated pricing model will give your competition an advantage. The ones paying will vote against you with their money.

I thought the idea behind the protests was that the shipping lanes should remain open and functional. I wonder if the ones doing the actual blocking aren't really agents provocateur.
To clarify, could it be that the blockage is simply due to too many trucks trying to get to the protest rather than (as the news media implies) a deliberate attempt to close the bridge. Even if someone (it could actually be a lone individual) is trying to do this, could that person actually be working on behalf of the Candian government?
