A future dystopia does not include even basic levels of these luxuries. Do you really think there will be pods for workers to live in? No, they'll sleep on the floor of some abandoned building. Meanwhile they will scrounge their own food, not have HD VR anything, and nobody will care how depressed they get. Steps won't be taken to ensure they stay indoors, that's for sure.
