When I heard of Pence's decision to flake and backstab us that day I did want something to happen, but now I suspect we were told about that early so they could go through the riot act. The rumor was clearly present even before Trump's speech started.

I think they needed their glow riot to happen during Trump's speech so they could clear out the protestors, do their theatrics, and drop the "republican" protests of fraud during the confirmation.

Now imagine had they done that at the normal time and all 1+ million protesters were still in DC and around the capital, and republicans give their speeches trying to send it back to the states to clean up the fucking mess, and then Pence flakes. Then there would have been a real riot, at least I think.
