I will also bet that "they" need us....to be worker bees....so they will not end us because we are useful.

As I said I am betting/theorizing the shot is the move either directly via immediate death like we are seeing, or later with fucked up births or mis carriages.

They are just hope spots to make you keep hoping that all of these will magically end and you will wake up.

Spoiler: you don't, and if they run their course and you wake up at that time, you'll just be spending the rest of your life like a husk.
