They're coming for small businesses too. Any that weren't crushed by lockdowns will be crushed by other means. The goal is a world of only megacorporations.
It's not just about conditioning, though that is a part of it for a very large number of people. Government regulations and regulatory capture are designed to specifically help incumbent businesses while making self employment difficult.
My girl and I are working on a number of different ideas to get out of the rat race. I'm in senior IT management and she's in HR (different companies) and together we're grossing around 250K/yr, but I'd rather make half that and be in control of our own destinies. Startup costs are huge depending on what you're doing, and the city/state/fed regulations surrounding almost anything a person wants to do to earn a living are ridiculous. This is intentional, to make us all slaves to an inescapable dystopian system. I can almost guarantee that if the OSHA mandates are upheld by SCOTUS, the next target will be professional licenses. If you want to be a [plumber/electrician/CPA/attorney/hairdresser/insert licensed profession here] you will need the jab or they'll yank your license.
Because it was never about health, it was always about control.
the first round of lockdowns put A LOT OF ma and pa small businesses and shops out of business here in northern lllinois. SOME recovered....but now with this "vax pass" to go into certain places and sit down to eat? that's a nail in the coffin to any small business.
goodbye to small sub shops, small coffee places and things like that
It was optional, just like having a job is optional.
