it's almost like if your IQ is high enough you become too stupid to realize how dumb most other people are. You just expect them to be on your level but it doesn't happen.

This happened to me when i moved down from hl math to sl math, because I was struggling. I went from being one of the dumbest kids in hl math to the smartest in sl math. I was seriously baffled at how stupid kids in sl math were, and how they weren’t able to grasp mathematical concepts as well as I was.
