I would ignore those Buddhist. Most of Buddhism is atheistic with the exception of Tibet, specifically Bon Po Dzogchen which is more animist in their practice and do still perform magic. They'll tell you enlightenment and magic go hand in hand. Although a witch can be male or female, females are far more powerful witches than males the only thing is they lack the drive to practice.
Which goes with their aspect, males are order females are chaos. Females naturally have the power but but the masculine drive to make use of it. Really there is no magic without feminine energy which is why the divine feminine has been slowly eradicated over the course of history and we now have male dominated religions (publicly). It was usually a Goddess in ancient cultures that gave the King the Divine right to rule a lot of ancient kings were also sorcerer kings.
