I've never heard of a vaccine where everyone takes it, and still gets the disease anyway

Then for added stupidity they announce a new deadly strain which we must shut down the planet for, then they push the original vaccine (as a booster) that hasn't worked to fight this new deadly strain. Can this timeline get any more retarded?
