I don't understand why online low level gatekeepers are always the trekkies. Must be verbal intelligence... Miss my Monsanto trolls from 2015, they were very similar. Just "science" guys, polite, but ready to pounce on the first sign of wrongthink that could expose their hiring corp...

It's scary to see how many of them there are, but, more importantly, how efficient.

Their favorite tactic is deflection towards ridicule. They are masters of subtly derailing a discussion and they are spread mainly on tech oriented articles to keep the public from thinking outside of what is culturally allowed technologically.
