It’s like someone reached all the way back to April 2020, plucked out an existing variant and then somehow, magically, all by itself, came up with not one, not two, not ‘a few,’ but twenty new mutations never before seen in any other "variant of concern."
Apparently it was something that had been kicking around in an HIV patient for many months.
