I've been suspecting bots due to a number of cases. For example, I posted a news item two days ago with modest reactions, and then new poster dropped nearly the same thing but super instantly rose 2500. I suspect automated karma farming. Not the only such activity to cite either.
Yes - that explains why I see the same post repeated a few too many times.
Hmm. Look at the downvotes for calling out the scripters. They don't like this thread.
