I read allot of It. I never heard of this before. It seems Obviously contrived. Just the travelling to and from the planet would have slowed time for the crew to the point that dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of years would have passed on earth. Some parts are very contradictory; an advanced civilization with high IQs that can travel light years away. . . . but some live in huts. And after watching the humans play softball and even partaking in softball, the Ebes never quite understood you weren't supposed to let the ball hit the ground ?

Interesting read though. If true, truth really is stranger than fiction.
