Well, if you are waiting for the US government to correct itself...

If you are waiting for a superhero type to swoop in...

If you're hoping The People do the right thing...

Tomorrow you will wake to another travesty wrapped into the same dilemma. One after the other until the realization 'nothing will get done until I'm willing to sacrifice myself in removal of those trying to kill me.'

If they call you roadkill, or claim to be holding supplies at bay until you submit, you are already at war. Just have not decided to realize that yet.
