Bodyweight fighting and trainings have been so different for the vast majority of the ancient times that are 2 totally different disciplines.
You consider the taoist/kungfu/shaolin tradition that affected the east, you find those kind of feats (the eastern body structure also make it easier in my opinion) of "bodily transcendence"
You consider western fitness coming from greek/roman soldiers, who were much more versed in things like strategy, formation, running, aiming, lifting.
Different prides, different styles.
Obviously it doesn't encompass the modern debauchery, but even if the west wasn't cucked that's never been the style here.
