Are there precedents/laws against police brutality in AU? Can this be handled at that level too?

I'm not saying that's the only way to respond. One of many.

My concern is with all these protests, nobody steps in to stop the cops. Why not?

I'm not talking about a single individual confronting 10-20 cops - that will never work. But dozens will.
