What you guys seem to forget is the fact that there were work camps and death camps. And the overwhelming majority of death camps were to the east. The Ruskies barely investigated. They burned, razed and went on their merry way. I've read accounts from Wehrmacht and SS soldiers who were retreating from camps in the east as the Red Army was approaching and let me tell you - With the germans or the Reds, if you were in one of those camps you were forked eitherway.
