What do you guys know about it? Was it a coverup? Recently been looking into it.. would like to know what you guys have drummed up about it over time.

Indiscriminate killings of anyone that remotely looked a bit suspicious.
If you can imagine Communist purges where poor farmers were cleansed alongside landlords, you get a good gist of it.
