They do a good job of letting people draw their own conclusions in this article, but one thing to point out is they don’t outright say they are short on ICU beds because of COVID patients, only that there are unvaccinated in ICUs and that they are short beds, more so than a week prior.
When they say they are short beds, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are physically short beds. They can also be short beds because they are understaffed.
Perhaps there is something that’s happened in the last couple weeks to create a situation where there is less staff to lower the bed count? I dono.
