I think that the great artists of history tap into truths they may not even understand.
This has been labeled “flow” (in many physical arts), “collective unconscious”, and sometimes “the akashic records”
Regardless of the Whack-kowskis as people, the first matrix undeniably impacted our culture like a bomb. For many, it was their first exposure to the parable of the lamb. For others, it inspired thoughts of total systemic control of the populace (i.e. “simulation theory”)
The newest film seems like it could be good. Clearly (from the trailer), Neo has re-entered the matrix, and takes a daily dose of blue pills to keep the illusion going. Obviously this is because the only place Trinity still “exists” is inside of the matrix.
What do you think? Do you like the taste of steak?
Its like in the end , when Agent Smith asks "why? Why do you fight?"Because I choose to responds neo as he merges with agent Smith and destroys him... maybe the wackowkis joined them the same way and maybe this was the only way they could get away with making what they really want this time by absolutely sacrificing themselves
The thought police may not look so close as they look like they've been utterly turned , perhaps this may allow them to get something of value out again
I'm probably wrong but I like in live in a world of faith and hope so I may remain steadfast
I like your optimism! If one or more of them really did live out the life of sacrifice that they attempted to show on screen, that would be quite tremendous!
I think they ripped off Jordan Maxwells version of the Matrix gave him nothing and then continued onto their incestuous nonsense the movie borrows from the redemption movement and is a metaphor for the actual beast system.

the wachowskis have to take daily pills to stay in their reality. easy to see where they got the idea for Neo to do the same.
Yeah, and it’s that thick irony which gives me the slightest smidgen of hope that the movie ends up good, regardless of the “author’s” intent

Probably will be utter trash

The Matrix was a direct translation of a 90s anime into movie form.
