If those other protesters were part of a violent mob that broke into a secure government building while screaming death threats, physically assaulting security and police and repeatedly refused to obey police orders, then yes.

Nope. Believe it or not they are still not allowed to shoot an unarmed even then. Even if you are a cop you still can't.
