The only reason a deadly variant would be transmitted rather than die along with the first carrier is if that carrier were able to transmit it before dying of it. Even if a few people managed to catch it and die, R would be less than 1 so it would fade away and be no more.
The leaky vaccines ensure the deadly strain will infect many and kill nearly everyone who didn't get these jabs.
