Especially on reddit. If I comment anything against their narrative, in any sub, it may start gaining traction for a few minutes and then down to -5 points. I'll usually get one lengthy response to it and I'll say something back, then crickets. Check the account and it has never commented in that sub and/or magically came to life to write out a novel to me and disappear again.
This is very telling.
However, I was talking about shill accounts spreading racism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny and calls to violence in places that allow users to question the American election process or COVID-19 measures.
It's terrible. They did the same thing to Usenet newsgroups when votes would come up to censor the Internet.
Oh yeah. That was rampant on Voat to the point that it was damn near unusable. On the other hand, censorship is bullshit and I think the key is public mod logs with the original comment text in them.
You've got that right! I think a blockchain would work for this.
