It's because it's the ultimate red pilling. IF we prove that the spinning globe 25,000 miles in circumference is a lie, then its ALL out the window.
People initially don't come to sites like these looking for FE material, necessarily, but you eventually get there if you keep looking
Flat earth can be proven on any day, in any known location of the earth, by anyone young, old, rich, poor, weak, no special equipment required. No secret classified leaked documents or videos that are almost certainly fake required.
If you want to know what the actual flat earthers believe, and not the controlled opposition flat earth society you are directed to when searching for flat earth online, then I would consider Eric Dubay's material:

Awful ultimatum
Do you live near a large body of water? Somewhere you can see at least 10 miles/15km ?
If so, no special equipment needed
You can go to the shoreline, spot a distant landmark or something and then google maps and find distance between two points
Then calculate how much curve there should be, i.e. at 15kms it’s appx 50ft of drop and at 20kms is appx 100ft
You can easily see 15/20kms on a clear day across the water
Why did I do this yesterday and I could easily see with my naked eye 100% of the distant landmark I was spotting
It should have been completely obscured from view by earth, yet, I saw ALL of it

Sunsets, artillery, radar, the absolute proofs are legion. You can watch satellites go over, you can, see the ISS with binoculars. You can observe the SPHERICAL nature of every celestial body we can see.
