Then FBIanon came along, got a following, made some direct claims and predictions that didn't pan out, and everyone stopped following him. I think FBIanon was the first Q attempt. Whoever FBIanon/Q is learned that they need to not make predictions and to instead let the audience make their own so when it doesn't happen, it isn't because Q was wrong.
