The future mass unemployment will be caused by far fewer people having enough disposable income to afford things. If almost nobody can afford restaurants, there will be fewer of them and therefore fewer jobs. But sure, blame AI.
They want things to be as they are in China where nearly everyone is quite poor. Then they can "create" new jobs at extremely low wages like in China. This is one of the main reasons the United States and the European Union are still letting workers in--it exerts downward force on wages.
