MY VOICE
My voice is but a simple one
Tired of the lies, Just give me the truth
Ain't no sunshine where there is shame
Instead of flowers I've gotten rain
Evil frought against me, left without a fight
Going through the badlands, Not having seen, the way of right
As a bat minus eyes to see, Shielded from truth and light, Of what is and what could be
Never stood ground against what I didn't know,, Could not see
Yet felt darkness, there before me
Blocked at every turn, Kept from my purpose
Silent without a voice, Til the Lord spoke my name
He said "Stand up, stand your ground, What is happening I will not tolerate,
These are my people, this is my land"
I asked, for wisdom that I would know, For discernment that I could tell,
That the veil on my eyes be removed, For empathy to feel others pain
Then I looked about and saw, Grief and pain and evil about
Not that I should sit idly and quietly by, But that I stand and speak
He told me "speak it loud, speak it clear, Yours is not to accept and retreat,
STAND your ground, DO NOT back down, SPEAK truth and right,
When evil and darkness come against you, Say it louder, call my name,
though they try to silence you, they will NOT SUCCEED
They may imprison or take your life, Yet your reward for truth, lies in me,
Your physical being is merely a vessel in this world
Your eternal lies with me, Should they silence you, I will bring more,
Now Go, reach all you can, For the hour is late,
I am coming soon,
My army will come to clean and glean, For the harvest is plenty,
Now GO, and SPEAK"

Where were You
Where were you
When they cried out from the grave
Where were you
When these little ones
Needed someone to plead their case
Did you speak up
Did you try to defend
The lives they should have had
Or sit quiet
while they met their bitter end
Their spirits will not be silenced
Won’t you hear their plea
Listen and do something
It’s up to you and me
They’ve been taken
Like sheep to the slaughter
But they were someone’s son or daughter
Did you stand up and fight, Life’s a God given right
Knit together in the womb
Known by the Father, long before they would be born
A child, not a choice
Where were you
They need you and me
They deserve to live
Not be taken, torn apart or forsaken
Will you speak up, Will you listen
Can’t you hear and feel
Their innocent cries and begs for mercy
Please love them and save them
Don’t let them die and be forgotten
Where were you
I scream, at the top of my lungs
Where were you
When their lives were being taken
Did you stand up and cry out
Use your voice where they cannot
Or sit back, and let it happen
My voice won’t be silenced
My heart won’t be stilled
Please, listen, hear, take heed and stop this ill will
Save their hearts that would be stilled
We’ve been charged to protect them
Love and not neglect them
So where were you Where were you
Thrown away, And torn apart
It breaks the Father’s heart
Where were you, Where were you
We are charged to protect them
Be mighty soldiers to deflect the harm
That would come
Where were you, Where were you

Be Silent Be Still
Be silent, be still
and listen for his voice
He speaks in many ways
When we’re not making noise
Perhaps through a dream
Or a gesture or letter from a friend
Maybe in our circumstance
But we just can’t pretend
Not to hear, listen dear
You might feel it in a tug
That pulls upon your heart
In the dead of night
When you’re alone in the dark
When sleep won’t come
And your mind won’t stop
When he draws you to his word
At the most random time
When you feel like you’ve been given
The biggest task on the block
Or you might receive a warning
Of a place you shouldn’t go
Or something not to do
He’s there in the still and quiet
When you’re not making noise
Will you sit still and listen
Because you have the choice
Are you wholly in his word
Spending time upon your knees
Cause that’s when you’ll realize
That he’s in the in between
He has a higher calling
And he calls upon his own
When things aren’t making sense
And you’re on the longest trek
He’s got the road mapped out
And the way planned ahead
So be silent and be still
And listen for his voice

This is why I keep my mouth generally shut about what's going on with all that. It's hard, you want to shout some of the info from the rooftop.
