Never posted here before. We were at our farm in rural Oklahoma when an AWACs came out of nowhere and passed over us at what seemed like 2,000’ and full throttle. It turned 270 degrees while banking and passed over us again at about twice the elevation still hauling ass.
That’s when we saw it. Above the AWACs there was what looked to me like two white lights flying very close together at what seemed like a very high altitude. My son described it as a shiny blimp. He has better eyes although I have good vision.
The unidentified fucking object seemed to be flying more than ten times as fast as a commercial airliner and seemed higher. We didn’t hear any noise from it. We watched it for what seemed like about a minute before we lost it in the clouds. The sky was mostly blue with few clouds.
The AWACs seemed to attempt to follow it while gaining altitude. After a minute or two we saw the AWACs turn left before it was out of sight.
The strange object/phenomenon seemed to maintain a steady speed, altitude, and heading while we saw it.
About five minutes later I heard what sounded like fighter jets in the distance. My son heard something from the same direction.
I’ve never seen anything like this or really thought UFOs were anything more than cover for the feds developing new tech.
Has anyone experienced anything like this or heard of similar stories? Any ideas what it could have been?
The weird thing is the AWACS plane flying like that. I doubt that is training and if someone was screwing around they would probably be locked up. They’re based out of OKC and normally fly high and you don’t notice them. The only planes we see fly that low around here are crop dusters.
We were pretty calm when t happened. It was pretty awesome to see. The more I think about it the weirder it gets.
I’ve heard all the “news” stories about UFOs. I pretty much dismissed them until about six hours ago. This was some shit I never thought I would see.
I know I’m rambling. Thanks for responding. I wonder why all the UFO stories/sightings come in waves?
This is almost certainly military. Whether it's all ours or a joint operation with someone else I don't know. Similar accounts though! You did see it.
AWAC to track and keep separation. Fighters to keep up (or come closer to it anyway)
“You did see it.” It’s kind of just now hitting me that my son and I saw one of these things. I agree they’re very likely military. The creepy thing is how fast it seemed to be going. It doesn’t seem possible. Maybe it was smaller than one would expect and appeared to be going faster than it actually was? It sure seemed high up, way above the AWACS. The AWACS was hauling ass and this thing appeared to leave it behind.
I wish I’d had my phone on me to pull up a flight tracker, not that anything would show up anyway. This is crazy. I’m not going to be able to sleep now lol
I saw something like this in the late 70's. Well, I should say my dog did, and she alerted me to it. Once she could tell I saw it too, she did not calm down. Not until it left. After that she was fine, but I was not!
It was a single light. It seemed extremely far away, and high up. After further reflection I thought, waitaminnit, if it was so far away how did it catch my dog's attention? Obviously I don't really know how far away it was, right? It hovered. Moved slightly, but not like a normal flight path even for a helicopter. Then it accelerated away, at an astronomical rate. The closer (and therefore smaller) it actually was, the slower it flew away. It was still fast, accelerating from a dead stop.
I sure hope it's ours! Learning about things like the SR-71, DARPA, etc., makes it more plausible this is human technology, spending ludicrous amounts of money we never voted for. I don't think any of it is ET
That must have been wild to see something accelerate like that. The thing that is most perplexing to me is the speed it seemed to be moving. I agree whatever they are likely have terrestrial origins.
Good question, but they often do. Ever since the 40s (at the very least).
This is way before disinfo campaigns of manufactured doodah by three letter agencies were the norm.
