The reason the usual propaganda is to constantly emphasize how free this country is and how much freedom you have and how you do what you do freely because of that is because you don't.

If you weren't constantly bombarded with propaganda about freedom you would notice that very little of what one does is done freely, organically and spontaneously. Were programmed and most people are trapped in lived that make them miserable but are programmed to be thankful and to keep plugging a way at it.
