It seems a bit sudden that they died that quick. I thought the frequency played havoc with their navigation so they lose their way back to the hive becoming stranded and dying.
Perhaps it caused the queen to become irrelevant losing her influence causing the hive to attack each other, like they would do invaders?
But don't bees get viruses, one very bad, dunno what it's called, but I recall it quickly kills off a hive from a parasite entering it? The parasite is quite common in some nations, appearing more frequently by increasing cross contamination. Isn't it true the bee wasn't native to North America? It was brought over by colonization.
In that video they have kids playing near to bees, seems like a reason to otherwise prevent it. Bees around their hive aren't child proof.
Yes cellphones towers are hazardous to bees plenty of studies proving this. But that quick seems odd?
Thanks for the explanation
Since Mobile/Cell phones it has seen the largest declines of insects, bees, moths, butterflies, many more, and sooner the birds. It mucks up their navigation. It had been blamed on pesticides, they are playing a big role, but that impact is also mobile/cell phones and those masts. There have been multiple studies from competing research, these are being squelched like big tobacco had done for years. The profits are worth a few bugs, but the decline is staggering.
The temperature plays a role, but it isn't critical yet. Bugs thrive in warmer temperatures normally, and this sometimes sees seasonal migratory birds stay the year round instead of migrate because the temperature and food source are favorable. Sometimes it can affect other ecosystems. But this otherwise balanced out. Not when any ecosystems have dramatically changed by human activity.
Nobody is admitting the effects of the signals and EMR currently.
