Capitalism is just Free Exchange. You are mistaking Corporatism for Capitalism. Psychopathic corporations abusing the rule of law for exclusive privileges to increase shareholder value at the expense of all else is not Capitalism. It is Cronyism. It is Fascism. I would take a real Free Market over whatever it is we have now any day. Limited liability is a creation of Government, not Capitalism. What we have now, usurious Fascism, should never have been allowed to develop. It used to be illegal.
The Constitution specifies the Government should maintain a sound currency and a system of weights and measures to facilitate trade. Von Mises believed that another role of Government is to enforce contracts and to prosecute fraud. I'm not sure if I totally agree with the Austrian economists, but I think they at least make more sense than the Modem Monetary Theorists and Keynesians. Every market intervention has unintended and usually bad consequences.
I am not, I'm sorry. I did a quick search and he seems to be the premier economists of the German Nazi party. At a glance, it seems Von Mises did not approve of his ideas, although I can certainly agree with him that usury is a major problem in our world today, as it was in his back then. The book Omnipotent Government by Ludwig Von Mises appears to be explicitly concerned with the German economic phenomenon. His conclusion was something like:
"Our civilization is based on the international division of labor. It can not survive under autarky. Protectionism and autarky will lead to disintegration and pasteurization. Such conditions expedite aggression of totalitarian states."
I haven't read the book but in general agree with him and the Austrian school on economic questions. Socialism is bad, managed currencies are bad, managed economies are bad and essentially impossible in the long run. Sorry I can't offer more.
