As a Christian, I've often wondered why so many Christians claims that Jews are "God's chosen people" when Jews fail to meet even the lowest minimum standard for Salvation.
This is why I identify mostly as a Red Letter Christian who focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ rather than the Jewish fables that Paul warned us about in Titus 1:10-11.
I became a Christian when I recognized how divinely perfect the moral teachings of Jesus Christ are as the foundation for all society, especially modern culture.
I believe there is a powerful lesson in the division between Christians and Jews: Christians became the most productive people in human history by following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whereas Jews actively mocked Jesus and became the most exiled and arguably the most hated and treacherous and spiritually bankrupt people in human history, having been exiled from almost every nation they have ever infested.
My only issue with Tao Te Ching metaphysics is everything eventually becomes subjective and I find such study to be interesting, especially when dealing with ego barriers and the perception of time and state and identity, however it is as self-defeating as a prolonged study of existentialism.
Whereas a study of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ provides pragmatic and philosophical projects such as, if you hurt children then God will fuck you up and trusting Jews is like playing Russian Roulette with five bullets in the cylinder.
