I think you are exactly right about the hallucinogenics. They promote the establishment of new neutral pathways. Mind control seems to work on the divide and conquer model. This is why those with PTSD or DID are so susceptible to hypnotic suggestion. Hallucinogens promote reintegration of the brain and thus make it more difficult to control.

That's interesting about the nicotine. It would seem that a combination of small doses of LSD and nicotine might make an excellent treatment for PTSD.
